UI Students  Organizes Workshop  For Orogun Grammar School Students (Photos)

Members of Heroes and Heroines Initiative on the 6th of February 2018 payed a visit to Orogun Grammar School, Orogun. Heroes and Heroines Initiative is a gathering of Undergraduate students of university of Ibadan drawn from different faculties. The Initiative, which was founded by Samuel Samson Tobiloba HOST and some friends specializes on career workshop and mentorship for students in public secondary schools.
Over One thousand students of Orogun Grammar School benefited from the workshop while about 100 students who wish to study a particular course or the other were selected for mentorship.

The academic decadence in our public secondary schools was also highlighted during the course of the program. There were several cases of incoherence in students career wishes. There were case of students who wish to study architecture but are currently in art class, those who wish to study banking and nursing

[While several others who wish to study commercial, arts as undergraduate course in the university.
Some of the member facilitators Include: Akeju Oluwasegun ( Head of Activists ), Ogunbowale Fehintoluwa ( Secretary ) , Adetunji Harrison, Kareem Yussuf, Safiyyah Oladepo, Humainat Raji, Badru Omolara, Ikechukwu victor, Odimayo Deborah among others.
With academic activities set to resume, members of the Initiative are resolve to do more towards the sensitization of students in public secondary schools.
